Fractal Art

Fractals are basically very complicated self-repeating patterns. They don't repeat in the sense of lining up the same picture next to each other over and over like a wall paper. The repeated pattern actually shows up if you zoom into a smaller part of the picture.

For this next one, if you were to zoom into the edges of the larger yellow swirls and blow the picture up, you would end up with the exact same picture. You could then look at the same edge of the yellow swirls, zoom in and blow up the picture and see the same picture again. Etc, Etc.


There are apparently tons on computer programs that can generate really great pictures. Here are some good ones I've found.
